Gift of Ii Family

These mountings were designed for a set of katana sword and wakizashi sword. The handle is wound with lacquer-coated shark skin and bound with braid. The tsuba sword guard is decorated with raised designs of tachibana (citrus fruit), the crest of the Ii clan.
