A letter to Naomasa, first head of Ii family, from Tokugawa Ieyasu, written in his own hand. In the letter, Ieyasu orders Naomasa to contribute troops to his campaign of Shinano Province. It is believed that Naomasa sent a troop led by Kimata Morikatsu, who later became karo of the Ii clan, in response to this request.
