This anthology of over 1,100 poems by Naosuke, thirteenth head of Ii family (1815 – 60), was personally compiled by him. Following the style of imperially-commissioned poem collections, the poems are organized under subjects, namely seasons, romance, travel, celebrations, and miscellaneous. The title, which literally means “willow dew” was chosen in reference to Naosuke’s favorite tree.
