This set of two catalogues has a total of about 300 entries. One catalogue is for gagaku wind and percussion instruments, and the other is for string instruments such as the koto, sﾅ, and biwa. The entries are in the handwriting of twelfth daimyo Ii Naoaki, who collected nearly all of them. The entries give the type of instrument, quantity, status, dimensions, mei inscription, condition, provenance, means of acquisition, letters of appraisal or transfer (with excerpts), and other information.
